From the Office:
From the Office:  If you are moving before the start of the next school year, we will miss you, but wish you well.  Please drop by the office to fill out a withdrawal form for your child.  This will ensure that school records will be sent to the new school in time to place your child properly in the new school.

5th Grade End-of-Year Activities:  Thank you to the many parents and fifth grade teachers who have devoted the time, care, attention, and ‘heart’ to helping our 5th graders celebrate their years in elementary school in such a joyful way! It will surely help them move on to the next phase of their formal education with eagerness and confidence!

Summer Reading:  As you make your vacation plans, don’t forget to add summer reading to your list.  Summer may mean “no homework!” but it shouldn’t mean taking a break from learning, especially reading!  Studies shows that most students experience a loss of reading skills over the summer months, but children who continue to read maintain or actually gain skills.

From the Nurse’s Office:  The end of the school year is approaching quickly.  Please stop by the Nurse’s Office to pick up your child’s medication by the close of school on June 23rd.  If they are not picked up, they will be disposed of.

Happenings Around Town:
Memorial:  Calling all children entering kindergarten at Memorial this fall!  Join us on Sunday, June 28th from 3 pm to 4 pm for a laid-back, friendly play-date at the Memorial school playground as part of monthly Pre-K socials being organized by Burlington Mother-to-Mother.  The socials are free and open to all incoming kindergarteners.  This is a great way for kids (and parents) to get to know each other and the school environment. Please rsvp with both your name and your child's name to Sharleen Davis at  Hope you can join us!
