FROM the OFFICE
Congratulations to the Memorial School 4th and 5th Grade Band and Chorus on the wonderful spring concert they performed on Wednesday morning for the school, and Wednesday evening for family and friends.  Entitled “America the Beautiful”. Thank you to Mrs. Niu, Mrs. Rzasa, and Mr. Napierkowski for their commitment to music and to the children, and a special thank you to Mrs. Parry who accompanied the chorus on piano, and Joe Plummer who played percussion. What a celebration of our wonderful school family!

Memorial School Art Show and Pancake Breakfast:  Saturday, May 16th,from 8-10 AM in the Memorial Cafeteria.   Come and enjoy breakfast and an exhibit of your child's beautiful art work!

If you are cleaning out the garage and have a gently used basketball-football-kickball or soccer ball that you don’t use anymore, you can bring it to the pancake breakfast to donate to the recess bins outside. Kids enjoy playing with jump ropes and drawing with chalk too!

Memorial’s Run for a Reason: May 30, 2015, 8am to 10am.   Students will raise money for the PTO and another charity (chosen by each grade) all while promoting fitness and healthy living.  Students will have 1 hour to run or walk as many laps around the field as they can.  Donations will be collected per lap or they can be a flat donation.  To register, please visit the PTO website, http://www.memorialschoolpto.org/JogAThon.html or email us atmemorialrunforareason@gmail.com.  The PTO will have water and healthy snacks for the runners and they will receive a race day t-shirt.

Save the date! Annual Family Picnic – June 2nd!
Come socialize with old friends and new at Memorial School’s annual Family Picnic.  The PTO is organizing a picnic on Tuesday, June 2nd (rain date June 3rd) from 6-8pm.   Watch for the Event Flyer – it will be coming home soon!
