From the Office:
From the Office:  Back in September, the routine Lead and Copper Rule monitoring took place at Memorial School.  Two samples of the water were taken and tested by the Burlington Water Department.  One of those samples tested positive for “elevated levels.”  As stated back in the September Blog, all suggested actions steps from the Town of Burlington DPW and and the Board of Health took place.   As a follow up, Memorial School now has two new hot water boilers.
Winter Concert:  The Memorial Community was treated to a wonderful Winter Concert on Wednesday - earlier in the day for the entire school, and later that evening for families and friends.  THANK YOU to music teachers Mrs. Niu, Mrs Rzasa, and Mr. Napierkowski for their hard work and energy in preparing 4th and 5th graders for the show; to classroom teachers for their support and flexibility in scheduling rehearsal time; and to families for their support and encouragement of their children’s involvement in these enriching activities.
Also a big THANK YOU to the fourth grade students who held a bake sale during the concert to raise money to support Memorial School’s holiday fundraisers, Toys for Tots, and The Giving Tree.  Their hardwork and dedication raised $300.00.
From the Memorial Library:It was a pleasure to have your children (and in some cases, your family) visit the Book Fair over the last week.  Thank you for participating in this year’s Book Fair and making it so successful.
From the Music Department:  Welcome Winter Sing-a-Long to welcome Winter and the Holiday season, Memorial voices will fill the halls with song from Wednesday through Friday, December 17th, 18th and 19th.
