From the Office:  The 2014 Fall Session of Memorial School’s After-School Homework & Study Club for Grades 3-5 begin on Tuesday, October 14th and run through Thursday, December 18th.  The purpose of this club is to help children develop effective study skills while providing them with the time, structure, and supervision needed to successfully complete their homework at school.  The club will meet two afternoons per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) from 2:30 until 3:30.  The fee will be $80.  (Please note: there will be no sessions on: Nov 4th, 11th, 27th, and Dec 4th).  Registrations forms are due back by Friday October 10th.  Check are payable to Memorial School.  For more information, please call the office.

Do you want to assist with 5th Grade Activities and be part of this year’s 5th Grade Committee?  Please email Elaine Manners at  if you would like to be added to the list of parents that will participate in picture taking, chaperoning, and other activities throughout the school year.

Halloween Dance Party & I-SCREAM Social:
Come join us for our Halloween Spooktacular on October 24th, from 6:30pm to 8pm at the Memorial School.  Register online at or complete the form sent home in the backpack.  Please make checks payable to Memorial PTO and send to school before Friday October 17th.

From Adopt a Class 2022:  Calling all 5th Graders and Families.   Come support your class on Monday, October 6, 2014, from 6-10PM, at Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt.  Orange Leaf will donate 15% of your purchase toward the Adopt-A-Class 2022 scholarship fund.
Have ideas for a fundraiser?  Please be sure to stop by between 7:00-8:00PM to speak with Kristin Russo, Parent Coordinator.  Not on the mailing list?  Please email to request that your address be added, including your child(ren)’s name(s) and current school.  A follow-up meeting will be held in the coming weeks.

From the Fox Hill PTO:
The Fantastic Pumpkin Fair….Friday, October 17, 2014, from 6pm to 9pm at the Fox Hill School.  Come join in on the fun of our annual fall tradition.  Great games, fall crafts, fabulous prizes and a few good scars.  The ever popular Haunted Hallway will be sure to fright, along with many old favorites:  Moon Bounce, Cake Walk, Pumpkin Painting, Spin Art, Face Painting, Duck Pond, Pizza, Cupcake Decorating, Popcorn, Cotton Candy, Raffles, plus lots more games and activities.  Admission is free, tickets for each activity/game can be purchased at the door.  Open to the public.  For additional information, contact Julie Quinn at
