Summer Reading: As you make your vacation plans, don’t forget to add summer reading to your list. Summer may mean “no homework!” but it shouldn’t mean taking a break from learning, especially reading! Studies shows that most students experience a loss of reading skills over the summer months, but children who continue to read maintain or actually gain skills.
From the Office: If you are moving before the start of the next school year, we will miss you, but wish you well. Please drop by the office to fill out a withdrawal form for your child. This will ensure that school records will be sent to the new school in time to place your child properly in the new school.
From the Nurses:
Physical examinations and immunizations updates for children entering 4th grade in the fall are required by Massachusetts Law. A copy of these documents needs to be on file here at the school. Copies may be brought in to school through the end of school year and as school starts in the fall.
Medications: Parents will need to pick up and student medications by June 24th by 11:15am. All medications not picked up after this date will be thrown away. Thank you.
From the Burlington Food Pantry
We are requesting donations of toothpaste and toothbrushes. Donation boxes will be dropped off at the elementary schools for the lobby. Collections will take place until June 23rd.
