FOR INCOMING K STUDENTS:  Do you have a child who will be entering Kindergarten this fall at Memorial?  Burlington Mother-to-Mother is organizing socials for future Kindergartners, which are free and open to everyone.  The next Memorial social will be on Sunday, June 8, 2014 from 3-4 pm at the school's playground.  To rsvp, please contact Sharleen Davis

From the Burlington Food Pantry
We are requesting donations of toothpaste and toothbrushes.  Donation boxes will be  dropped off at the elementary schools for the lobby.  Collections will take place until June 23rd.

CSA Farm Share: Looking for locally-grown, ethically-raised, delicious food in Burlington?  Order and pick up a CSA farm share at the Presbyterian Church in Burlington, 335 Cambridge Street, Burlington, MA.  The church is distributing sustainably-raised eggs, meat, vegetables, and fruit from 3 local farms on Monday afternoons this year.  Contact the church to order a weekly dozen or half dozen eggs from Clark Farm of Carlisle. to order weekly fruits and/or vegetables from Farmer Dave’s of Dracut.  Visit to order monthly meat shares from Lilac Hedge Farm of Berlin, MA.  Contact the church with questions.  Hope to see you there!

Cradles to Crayons:  provides essential items to children living in low-income or homeless

situations in Massachusetts. We do this by collecting new and gently-used items from local

families and redistributing them to children in-need of everyday essentials.  Before leaving for

summer vacation, please consider cleaning out your closets and dropping off your gently used

children’s items in a toter in the lobby at any of the Elementary schools: Fox Hill, Francis Wyman, Memorial or Pine Glen from June 2-20th.

We are especially in need of:   Boys clothing sizes 2T - 18/20 (especially tops)

Girls clothing sizes 24 months – 18/20 (especially tops)  and Sneakers (up to adult size 10)

Because of our unique model, items donated to Cradles to Crayons are distributed directly to

local children in-need. By donating clothing and sneakers you no longer want or need, you can help

make a difference in the life of a child in need, and help Cradles to Crayons provide local kids

with quality items, free of charge, that will help them thrive – at home at school and at play.
