Treats for Troops:Memorial School is once again joining other Burlington schools in collecting wrapped Halloween Candy for our troops overseas.  Over the last few years we have been able to send over 6000lbs of candy to troops stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan.  Please join in again and donate some of your Halloween candy or pick up and an extra bag at the store and help us send a little Halloween cheer overseas!  Soldiers love getting cards and letters from kids back home.  If you would like to send a special message to a soldier overseas, please put your letter in the Orange Collection box along with your candy and we will make sure it gets to a soldier!

The valuable, family-friendly KidStuff Coupon Books are going to be available through our school again this year! The KidStuff Coupon Books are being sent home to Memorial Families on Monday, November 4th.  We are sending home one book per family this year.  The cost of each book is $25.00 and our school will receive 50% of the proceeds.  Please return your payment no later than Friday, November 15th (make checks payable to the Memorial School PTO).  If you are not interested in the book, please return it to school.  If you wish to order additional books, please complete the enclosed order form and include your payment.  These books will be sent home after November 15th.  If you have any questions, please contact Amanda Restivo at arestivo@live.com or Lisa Cline at lbcline1@gmail.com.

Scouting for Food
Scouting for Food is coming to your neighborhood. The scouts from Pack 555 will be dropping of plastic bags on your neighborhood doors with a request to collect donations for the food pantry. This philanthropic event is something simple but extremely rewarding to our scouts. If you know a scout in your neighborhood and didn't receive a bag, let them know you would like to help out too.  Scouts will be coming by your house to pick up the bags of donations around November 2.  Your grateful contributions keeps them participating every year. So if you get that friendly bag on your doorknob, please help them assist the needy families in our community. Thank you in advance.
