Kindergarten school pictures are preferred, but if you do not have one, we will certainly accept another photo. We would also appreciate group photos taken from school activities, field trips, concerts, etc. The book will primarily consist of 4th & 5th grade photos. A small section will be included with photos from Kindergarten through 3rd grade.  Please submit only photos of children who currently attend Memorial School.  If you have not sent in your photos yet, please refer to the flyer sent home in last week’s backpack folder for instructions as to how to submit them.  To ensure that your photographs are included, please be sure we have them by February 28th!                        -- Fifth Grade Memory Book Committee

FROM the NURSE
Cold & Flu Season
With winter upon us and the general increase in illness (especially flu-like symptoms), please pay very close attention to possible changes in your child’s health.  Flu-like symptoms can have a quick onset.  Within a few hours, a child can go from feeling perfectly fine to feeling ill.  It is in everyone’s best interests to increase their awareness of symptoms such as headache, nausea, fatigue, body aches, and fever.  If your child shows these symptoms, please keep them home to avoid transmission to others at Memorial School.  Thank you.

ATTENTION 5TH GRADE PARENTS!
This is an exciting time for our children as they enjoy their last year at Memorial School and prepare to move on to middle school.  A committee of fifth grade parents has recently started working on creating the 5th grade memory book commemorating their elementary school years.  In order to make this project a success, we need the involvement of every 5th grade parent.

In order to start this process, we are asking that parents submit pictures of their Memorial students for the committee’s consideration for the book.  Please send one baby photo and the Kindergarten school photo of your child. Please see next week’s flyer for instructions as to how to submit photos.
